The global market for green building materials was US $455.3 billion in 2008, and is forecast to reach US $571 billion by 2013. The decision to "go green" is driven by many things, including rising energy prices, the desire to better manage water use and have energy efficient buildings, and changing values and lifestyles. It's more than a trend; it's a significant and permanent movement among individuals, companies and governments to simply build better buildings.
There are opportunities in "going green" and Calgary Regional Partnership (CRP) is pleased to present a brochure on the attractiveness of the Calgary Region to Green Building Technologies and a series of reports on the potential for investing in the Region. CRP engaged industry consultant Woodbridge Associates to conduct an independent assessment of the green building technologies industry in the Region and to look for opportunities that offer a strong value proposition to potential investors.
