Regional geographic Information Systems (GIS)
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is an analysis tool that helps make decisions by merging maps, statistics and databases. The Calgary Regional Partnership’s (CRP) Regional GIS program achieves this by:
- Creating an online interactive mapping tool that enables easy access to regional information.
- Analyzing the region’s settlement patterns, including population and job growth until 2076.
- Establishing an environment of open data and idea sharing amongst CRP member municipalities and the public.
