CRP Projects

An unparalleled quality of life is what you can find in the CRP region. Out of 127 cities worldwide, the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked Calgary as one of the world's most desirable places to live. Calgary is also ranked in the top five Canadian cities for performing arts activities. But that's not all. First-class education, outstanding healthcare and exciting recreational venues are just waiting to be found throughout the CRP region.

Economic opportunities abound. Provincial forecasts indicate a shortage of skilled labour within the Calgary region over the next ten years. Approximately one third of all new jobs in Alberta will be created in the Calgary region. Key employment opportunities include: Construction Trades, Engineers, Financial Services Professionals, Health Professionals, and Mechanics (automotive, heavy equipment). Approximately 90,000 employees will be required in the Calgary region over the next five years.

Quality education in the CPR region is publicly funded through the provincial and municipal governments. The region boasts the highest percentage of post-secondary educated citizens in Canada. Primary and secondary education (Kindergarten to Grade 12) facilities are plentiful throughout the region. Twenty-six elementary schools in the Calgary region ranked in the top 40 out of a potential ranking of 726.

Life in the CRP region is characterized by a relaxed atmosphere within the beautiful surroundings of Alberta's mountains, foothills, prairies and lakes, which provide a scenic landscape with endless recreational opportunities.

The region has a rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene. From rodeos and First Nation's Pow-Wows to unique shops and theatre, the Calgary region is the place to be.
