Visitors will always find a friendly welcome in the Town of Irricana, located 35 minutes NE of Calgary and 20 minutes east of Airdrie. It’s well known for its quiet, small town atmosphere, strong family values, and its safe and friendly community spirit. This feeling is depicted in our community’s theme “Open the Gateway to the Country” incorporated with a symbol of a white picket fence. Our town’s mascot “Squeaky” the country mouse, can also be found in and around town at local functions.

Located in an area of Alberta’s most fertile and scenic farmland, Irricana is a nice blend of country and small town life.

Irricana offers excellent facilities in Founders Park including a campground complete with on-site managers, a community hall, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits, walking paths, playground and a riding and roping grounds. Directly across Founders Park to the north is “Pioneer Acres Museum” which takes you back to the early 1900’s.

In and around town are brightly painted, country murals which incorporate the white picket fence and if you look really hard you can find a hidden mouse in just about all of them.
