The Calgary Metropolitan Plan (CMP) is a vision for a sustainable region. It includes statements of regional outcomes, integrated strategies, policies as well as conceptual maps that will help the region achieve its vision over the next 60 to 70 years. The CMP was approved by the CRP members at the June 19, 2009 General Assembly. The 15 member municipalities that approved the plan are now moving forward to implement the plan by aligning local municipal plans with the Calgary Metropolitan Plan. The CMP's priority implementation work includes three project areas, Regional Transit, Regional Water and Waste Water Servicing and Regional GIS and includes a number of supportive economic development focused activities that are integrated within each of these three priority areas.
The Strategic Action Plan describes the work of the Partnership in conjunction with its members municipalities over the next three years to 2015. It describes the regional mandate of the CRP; summarizes our seven priority implementation programs, and outlines the many benefits of our regional collaboration.
