The Calgary Regional Waste Reduction Partnership (CRWRP) continues it's good work towards reducing waste within the region, and investigating new technologies for recycling and waste reduction.
The final draft report from CH2M Hill was received and tabled at last November's Executive Committee meeting and made available at the December 14, 2007 General Assembly. Apart from some minor changes and amendments, this document represents CRP's plan going forward with respect to the Regional Composting Plan in partnership with the four land site owners - City of Airdrie, City of Calgary, Foothills Waste Management Commission and Bow Valley Waste Management Commission. Some of our next steps include a review of the plan with each of the sub regions and determination of next steps and capacity to implement.
